The seventies trend is huge for Autumn/Winter this year. A trend that started during spring/summer as bell bottoms and flares is only after growing this season and expanding massively. With the 70's trend in full bloom on A/W runways by designers such as Burberry, Rebecca Minkoff, Gucci, Anna Sui and Louis Vuitton, it's safe the say I'll be embracing key items into my wardrobe this season.
Full of 70's signatures such as flares, peasant blouses, ponchos, mini skirts and fringing, these items will no doubt be easy to style with any outfit as the month's start to get colder.
I personally am still warming up to the 70's trend but I'm getting there! After finding a few style inspirations on Pinterest and putting outfits together in my head, I've kind of come around and decided it's time to start welcoming some seventies items into my wardrobe. I love suede, anything suede is great right now! I love minimalism and simplicity in style so I'm not too big on all the prints at the moment but I'm trying to embrace them! I'm also loving mini skirts and fringing too. Fringed bags and jackets are my favourite things right now. River Island and Zara in particular have a great range of 70's items right now. Topshop and H&M are also doing some great pieces too!
I personally won't be going all out when it comes to this trend but I will be buying key pieces that will be versatile to wear with any outfit, such as a fringed jacket/cape, a suede skirt and a good ol' seventies inspired blouse.
My favourite pieces that resemble 70's nostalgia are listed below
These are just my personal favourites but they really stand out as 70's pieces and can be worn so many times, and styled so many different ways, which is what I love about them all so I hope you can take inspiration and find yourself some key pieces this autumn!
